Leaders
| The Cbus Pacers will be led by two main
coaches and a core of pace group leaders, many of which not long
ago were beginners who joined a training group just like you may
be. |
| Meet the Coaches Coaches will be creating and maintaining your training plans should they need some tweaking. They are also easily accessible at your local running store - the Columbus Running Company. Eric FruthEric is a co-owner of the Columbus Running Company and primarily works in Dublin. At the CRC, Eric has coached previous marathon and half marathon training groups in addition to numerous individuals training for distances ranging from the half mile to the ultra-marathon. His approach to coaching stresses the individual - we all come from different backgrounds and bring different goals to the table, so each member of the training group receives an individualized training schedule. His own running experience includes some NCAA Div III All American awards, collegiate coaching, and he currently acts as the USATF Ohio Long Distance Running Chair. Jim JurcevichJim also is a Columbus Running Company co-owner and is a regular in Pickerington. His coaching experiences encompass all age groups and range from beginners to Olympic Trials qualifiers. His personal running history includes Ohio high school championships and a Big Ten title. Jim has run in the previous three Olympic Trials with a marathon PR of 2:14 and competed as a professional both nationally and internationally. Jim's years of experience on the roads have made him a valuable asset to the training group. Pace Group Leaders These men and women exemplify what it means to be part of a running and walking community. A handful of them will be at the weekend endurance runs to help you along the way, whether you need them or not. You can check out their profiles at the Cbus Pacers social hub, located here. Athletic Training Support The Cbus Pacers are partnered with Dayne Conley and Kelley Newsad of Accelerated Rehab. These two are experts when it comes to physical therapy in relation to running and walking. They will be on hand in the event you need some extra help. |
